Fek off DK its too easy to get lost finding Dragon Mart.
Its like this mate. You stop and ask where it is, "by the fruit market", so you drive round the fruit market 4 times then ask again.
Then when you leave, easy you just follow the signs to Abu D / Jebel Ali, sorted. Turn PDA Navigator on and cruise. When you get to Global village you think shit, this aint right.
So you do a U and go back. Then you end up by the Trade Centre and get back on the SZR and then its easy back to the marina.
Moi Lost ?? naaaaaaaaaaaaa

Its even easier than that..."Driver, Dragon Mart."
Then sit back in the deep Connolly hide with the sounds pumpin and the ice tinkling in the glass in the cocktail cabinet whilst the gorgeous blonde with the long, long legs gently massages the back of my neck...
I must stop taking these hallucenogens!

Global Village.....memories. Take kids to party at Dubai Country Club-leave in daylight. Arrive in Carpark 5 at Global Village in dark...wait for husbands kind arrival to escort me home. Guess how many kids wanted to come with Mummy on the return journey? None!!

Thanks everyone - I've been away from a computer since my birthday last Thursday, hence the silence.
Had a quiet night with the family - went for a meal at the India Palace in Garhoud, food was good and the live entertainment was different (sittar and drum players). Recommended (as is Fudruckers next door).
We finally moved to the new place in Springs on Weds - well the furniture arrived and was mostly unpacked, but we came back to the appartment for a final night. It's amazing that the volume of goods seemed to have doubled in the one month we had been here - even though we were 'not buying' stuff until after the move!
As for Dragon Mart - with hindsight, we were on the right road but came off too soon and entered the twilight zone of the vegetable market - roads led to nowhere or doubled back on themselves... and inhabited by strange beings who had no clue where this strange place dragon-marrttt was !
It took me 3 attempts to find someone who 1. spoke English and 2. had any vague sort of knowledge of directions.
(Actually, we've had a few instances of asking security guards etc for directions to no avail, which led us to the sad conclusion that these guys are quite insulated from the nicer things about Dubai because of economic constraints. They come, work and frequent the cheaper parts of Dubai - don't own cars so don't need to know directions etc. )
Anyway - my birthday is a dim memory now (must be my age??).. must remember to get the sat nav.. has anyone also seen the I-mate PDA-N.. I'm resisting the urge to buy one...
Cheers,
Shafique
