Some guy sent me a message on myspace saying that I am going to hell forever because of some of my photos....
Now, what I dont understand is, if he is so religious why is he even looking through my profile? I mean he is a guy and I am a girl...he shouldnt be looking through there in the first place....
I hate it when people tell others these kinds of things. I understand that, maybe, in their own mind they think they are doing what is best...but can't they say it in a different manner. Like, you know, our religion tells us so and so and so, and the consequense is da and da and da....rather than, your a horrible muslim and will go to hell forever. Its kind of harsh in my opinion...
So my question to you all is, when you see someone doing something wrong (religiously speaking or not) how do you approach them? Do you tell them, or attempt at telling them in a nice manner...or just be blunt and rude about it?

Well depends on the situation, but for your situation i think it is not like you posted very "exposed" photos for him to be rude...
For one... our religion forbid the be rude or harsh while doing it... "according to my humble knowledge" and there is an aya or hadith for it..
two.. what he thinks!!! he become rude and then you will be good... he is stupid so don't bother.
Three if he is so religious he go to the right place to do so... can't you see why preachers and sheikhes don't go to night clubs :D

lol, no im fine....its just i get that alot...bushra, you are going to hell for doing da da da and what not...i just want to know why people cant find a nicer way to say it....
lol the only time i ever say that is to my cousin, and i never say she...i say both her and i are going to hell when we do something wrong ....and she knows its a joke, so its fine.
how would you tell someone they are doing something wrong...give them naseeha?

IF i found a friend drinks for example and it is against his rules and religion. it starts with.. "hay man, how are you blah blah blah
so when you started drinking, is it good, do you do it in public, why not, you think it is bad? so don't do it"
and go through the whole negatives of the thing he is doing and then tell him, will think about it and.. i think you better off it.
don't take the alcohol thing as it is,, it is just example..

When I was a teenager I went through a phase where I used to dress like a Harajuku fashion girl. I got a lot of attention, mostly positive though sometimes negative too. Luckily I outgrew that phase. The point is, if you do something to get attention, be prepared for anything that comes your way.

You know yourself better than them. So don't be affected by their unsolicited opinions. IGNORE THEM. :wink:

no no no, i guess i shouldnt have mentioned the whole incident and just asked the question. yes, when i first read what he had sent me it hurt a bit....as it always does, but a few seconds passed and i didnt really care. i was just left wondering if that is the norm...meaning, that is how most people let others now that what they are doing is wrong...

once in a town in Germany walking with my sis she' doesn’t wear hijab n wore a jeans and t-shirt (her choice) i on the other hand wore my hijab (my choice) a muslim lady came up to her and called her u should wear the hijab n shame on u (me) not direct her, gave us a dirty look..made my sweet sis run into tears..i wondered where in her right state of mind did she think with such an act the god will reward her behavior..

Its not rare thing when guys don't like the way girl dresss or act...usually I use the the following expression: don't judge, and u won't be judged...And Bushra, the guys saying such things to girl have the inferiority complex and afraid of ur beauty...so don't give a flying sh...t bout them.Good luck!
