Job designation is SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER. can anybody tell me whehter this offer is good for this designatioin. I am married and i am planning to bring my family after 3 months. So can anybody tell me the cost of living for a family with a kid (3 years. started going to school) . I would lilke to know the -- cost for 1 bed room falt/appartment -- monthly expenditure for one family -- school for UKG Thansk in advance
zam Please use the Search button, or try browsing in the Expat Help section of Dubai Forums, you will have an idea with your situation. But just for the nice weather today, I will tell you now, 9000 Dhs would not be enough, specially w/o accomodation + the fact that your gonna send a kid to school! Sorry but you need to ask for a higher offer. :( MaaaD reject it, its a crappy offer. 1 bedroom is average 80,000 dirhams a year. a conservative estimate of your expenses as a family of 3 will be around 40,000 dirhams a year your kid in school will cost you 10,000 dirhams a year that puts you at -22,000 dirhams at the end of the year. not fun. tdr2 Thank you very much for your reply... jabbajabba Agree with Maaad - telll them that there offer is to low for a senior professional of you calibre. 9k what Jokers. kpraveenkumars Find another Job, if you ar estill looking for jobs in dubai, I recommend looking for dubai jobs in / mighty.one yh, its a bad offer. gtmash It's a good offer by Dubai standards. What are you people talking about? Which luxury apartments do you guys live in? And only pointlessly snobby schools charge 10k per year? redbullny 9k for a senior software engineer is a load of bull. Ask for ATLEAST 15k. If you are highly experienced and certified ask for 20k. dodgeek boys and girls.... have u guys stop to think if that dude is worth 9k? :). No offence tdr2 but to me Senior Software Engineer is just a fancy title. It really depends on the size of the company and what sort of expertise tdr2 has to offer. 9k is decent for a lot of ppl. they make do with sharing accommodation and cramping into 1 bedrooms. that is still better than what they are experiencing back wherever they are from.
