Google.com is going to be in US Gov Balck list soon

Intimacy So what do the people who still believe that there is something called Freedom of press!! I think also they will list it as a website which supports Terrorisms.. lets wait and see. and they will come up with a story how the attackers in 9/11 used Google to plan ... Source: News First Class www.nfc.co.il The American management is now in court with on the background of a request that the US government has submitted to Google. The judgment will soon to be declared to stop the search engine on Google’s website where the US government was saying that they will compile to the court’s decision since Google is facilitating the access for porn sites for the under ages.!!!!!!!! Where Google’s management has declared that they have decline the US Government request because they where asking them to provide the Gov. with infor about “who searches what” Where companies like AOL and Yahoo has complied with the requests and they are providing the info. About (who is searching for what?)
Genjix Get your facts right. The court request for google's search cache so that statistical analysis could be done on it to back up another court case on child pornography.
Google has refused citing that it will infringe on users privacy. The final court proceeding ruled for google to give an anonymous random sample , which is a good compromise in my opinion, as it protects privacy yet still gives some useful statistical info away. Intimacy
Thats what the US gov. is saying, not Google. So Get your facts corrected.
Why did you ignore the side of the story Google presented?!!

and why the US Gov is interested in gathering statistical info. about people all over the world and what are they searching about ?!!
if you told me that they are only interested in the US citizens, then i will agree with you. kanelli Many governments are finding ways to monitor and gain information on citizens via Internet and cell phone calls etc. The US is only one such country. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about the information only being needed for fighting terrorism, because there are many purposes for harvesting information from citizens. It isn't right to invade people's privacy, but governments and companies find it very tempting and they WILL try to get their hands on citizens' data. Intimacy
I agree.

Well, i really appreciate your pure intentions as you have. :)

I am wondering why? :) kanelli Governments might want to know how their citizens think so that they can tailor their political strategies. They want to know what people are reading. They want to know what threatens them or what supports them. Companies might want to know about our consumer behaviour, our likes and dislikes, so that they can market their goods to us. They want to know what threatens them and what supports them. Both governments and companies should mind their own business and gather data voluntarily from each individual with their consent. Some people on this forum are fixated on the US and conspiracy theories... I'd like to comment on the news source you gave Intimacy, but I couldn't read it, obviously. Perhaps you can find an article in English that supports the contents of the article you posted? arniegang just rename this thread "Paranoia"  fayz Hey Int, did you know that the link you posted is blocked by Etisalat, I had to go around the proxy to find out i couldn't read the article, it's in Hebrew i think. Intimacy
Well... thats what they tell us

I think you are referring to me here, thats fine coz i do believe in it.
And why google will Disagree to provide such info. if its what the US Gov. is calming it is!!

I will try to find an Aritcel in English for you.
The snow will melt and the meadow will be obvious. Or as we say:
Soon the weather will be dust-free, and you will know is it a horse you are riding or a donky :) Intimacy
lol and i call that "superficiality" :D

Thats right mate, its blocked by Etisalat, but in DIC its not. and its in Hebrew ;) Genjix
I'm not asserting the ligitamacy of this court case, but challenging your paranoid zealotry.
This does happen to be another hawk eyed excuse for the prying eyes of the US government, but the fact that the original ruling calls for a small random anonymous sample hardly worries me much.
The fact is that is a compromise that seems to fall between the interests of both parties.
And google presented no 'side of the story', they simply have refused to hand over search logs abiding by the law citing privacy concerns (they are good people :)). Genjix Here is another link on the ongoing litigation Notice how the Yahoo and Microsoft corporations have complied? :/ lostguy I went through the link and it seems that US is just asking the data to see who is watching porn...but the question is why US wants to do that when pornography is so common in this country and does it make sense that US is a country who really care about the children of world to stop them watching porn ..and i never saw a government whose aim is to stop people watching porn.. definetly its against the privacy of the people to hand over the data to US government.. y should somebody else know that what i m doing on google and definately google is doing a right thing. sniper420
hehe they dont give a damn about porn.....under teh pretext of catching those pornographers...they collect information of "most likely" targets and chcek for any dangerous "keywords"! BTW as u know Google wont the case....another thing to prove US has one of the best justice systems in the world.
