No question it was absolutely horrible what was done to this woman. There is one difference in how it would be handled in the US and an Islamic country: She has rights in the US. She has the right to name names, exposure everyone involved and sue the crap out of the police department.

got to agree with you there. that she does have rights and those ppl do get punished. but what is the punishment? a suspension? a tap on their hands? sorry but if that happened to me i would sue the state and i would make sure those involved went to the jail. hell you even get filmed and next thing u know the whole world is watching ur clothes being taken off.

Have you ever heard it happen in Malaysia? On the other hand before you answer, yes it is plausible that this has happened in Iraq (even before the americans). i partially agree with you. i dont want to compare this incident with anything else. all i wanted to show everyone is no country in the world is perfect. that includes USA. yes dubai and other islamic countries have their own problems. but does that mean USA is problem free? dont think so. usa has its own problems. this is just one of them. others include a young kid getting a gun and killing 30 of his class fellows. is that not terroism??

Man America's social system is in tatters.....I was in Virginia for a while, was submitting an application at Virginia Tech, and that place is ridiculous. It's like a never ending curfew, thanks to sheer lawnessless, chances of you getting robbed after dark in the suburbs is I would say 90%. Every couple of hours one would hear sirens wailing cause apparently there were gunshots heard.
I'm glad I've come to Dubai, I can definately stand the hypocrisy, the labour torture, I don't need no loans, so I'm fine with Dubai's bankruptcy laws and any other injustice(all exagerrated). No problemo mate, I'll just look the other way......
