This morning my car gave me the coolant required symbol.
So I pulled over to the petrol station and asked to buy some coolant (after reading my manual)
Now my manual said get G12 and the coolant has to be purple or red. The guy tried to sell me some green coolant and it said nothing about G12 on the bottle. So i didn't buy it.
Are there special/different types of coolant in the UAE?
My car is a VW EOS 2 L Turbo - I'm worried about putting something strange in there

Welldone!! Dont put anything except the recommended coolant.. There are different types of coolant available in any market leave alone in UAE. Not sure of where to get G12 though..
M!
@ any VW/ AUDI dealer.
The diff is because of the all Aluminum Engine compared to the old engines with Aluminum Cylinder Heads and Cast Iron Cylinder.
They changed it with the New Engine Generation FSI/ TFSI etc.
You can go with G12 Purple/ red in any engine BUT NOT in vice versa
Better check the reason for the leak not only fill up and ending up with a blown engine.
May some hose is loose or weak.....
Good luck
