I am due to make my second payment for a property in Jumeirah lake towers six months after my deposit still not had any formal contract, now seeing reports in uk papers about the fact that there is no actual freehold yet in Dubai. I know they can be very laid back but just a little concerned am I worring to much?

Yes, There is no law for freehold yet, it is only a promise (which can be considered as a law which will be passed) from Sheikh Mohamed i think.
Yes, You are worring yourself too much, with is amount of investment in freehold i don't think it is a scam, or it will be the biggest in the history and will not be any bigger one.
And i know that there is a law to be passed, but with all the changings happeneing it is delayed.
Guys, please correct me if i'm wrong in the info. all this is what i heard from real-estate guys.
