Food Allergy Advice

catmac How easy is it to find soy products (milk, yoghurt, tofu) in the Emirates? Our family is relocating to the UAE and our daughter has multiple food allergies (egg, peanut, dairy). We are currently in the USA and she has easy access to these kinds of foods -- even soy 'cheese'. My husband and I lived in Abu Dhabi years ago (before many of the shopping malls were built and before Starbucks...) and I just don't know how much things have changed. Thanks! Also, can anyone recommend UAE hospitals that may specialize in treating kids with food allergies?
RobbyG Logically, its changed for the better. But if the food sector degraded since then, you can always deposit you kid at the orphanege desk when you leave the US... J/K ;) Bora Bora Don't actually look for soy products, but soy milk (with a shelf life in cartons) is plentiful, as is tofu. I am sure there is soy yogurt as well. You will probably have to make the rounds in supermarkets to see who has what. There is also an organic store with 2 or 3 outlets. Good luck on your move. You have to forgive Robby - he is an orphan and thinks everyone else should be one as well. :D RobbyG
Hmmm, where did you say your cave was situated?
 Bora Bora
In the city, its a duplex hon. RobbyG
Ahh, so you're sharing with Osama. ;) Bora Bora
I thought that was your job.
