Anybody else flew to or from northwestern Europe this weekend during the storm? I went up and down, had some moments, but not like this:

i coppped one storm on the way to the states one year, i really really did not enjoy that section of the flight, i thought it was completely over.
saw that on the news this morning - one amazing pilot, this would have been all over if it wasnt for him

Two annoncements on the plane on different occasions that made me worry:
"Everbody hold on to everyhting you can find"
"We will land at another, bigger, airport, because of better medical facilities"

Doesn't really matter, the Captain and Co-pilot take it in turns to man the controls in different shifts. Just like it was the copilot at the controls of that BA flight that came down short of the run way in the UK.
They both have exactly the same training, the Captain just has more flying hours is all.
