Hi, am Irish national and am taking up a position in Dubai next week. Please can you advise me as to where to look for rental apts etc :?

That's a bit of a difficult one, where will you be working. Dubai is not a small town. The place is quiet de-centralised and the major areas of employment spread around. The residential areas closer to the work areas are more expensive due to thier location. It also depends initially I suppose on what you can afford, would you be getting an accomodation allowance etc....
If you let me have some more details I'll see what I can do for you. In the mean time have a look at this site under accomodation, as it will give you a rough indication of what you are going to be paying..
