BabyDoll Quality of fast food restaurants here is average. I miss: Carl's Jr - and no, they are better and "larger" portion than Hardees here McDonald's - breakfast menu Burger King's - breakfast menu MOS Burger - even their cheese burgers are good Wendy's - burgers are yummmmm Georgie Pie - remember them, ohhhhhhhhh they were good. McDonald's shouldn have bought them over and close them down!

Miss the breakfast menu at most of the fast food places. You like Wendy's square burgers? Don't know what Carl Jr, MOS Burger and Georgie Pie are. They got taken over and shut down :cry: ? ebonics i miss maccas breakfast i miss proper KFC - kfc here is rubbish that includes potato & gravy, chicken salt on chips, zinger double bacon & cheese. i miss going out and getting served bacon, eggs, sausages and baked beans for breakfast - now i have to get the bacon and pork sausages and cook it all myself, no where near as good... i miss ham on my pizza :( scarlet Dubliners at le Meridien Village does a pretty good proper breakfast like you mention ^ian^ none of the Bacon in Spinneys or Choithrams is any good. It's all crappy english bacon... I want proper Aussie bacon with the rind and everything. ebonics

abarawakijess I miss being able to nip out to lunch and have a variety of choices at reasonable prices, even at the food court. Here it is mainly fast food or Lebanese and Arabic food. Nice for a change, but nothing beats a nice box of sushi for lunch. BabyDoll

There is no good sushi bento here for sure. Tokyo@Towers in Emirates Tower is ok but at Dh 100 a box .... ?!
I went to Kiku the other day. Despite the good review I heard from many people, my guests and I were rather disappointed with the quality of food. And Dh 800 for a bottle of sake ... ?! abarawakijess Here is an idea: You give me the AED800 and I will provide fresh home made sushi and an entire bottle of sake (the 1L big bottle monsters from A&E).
