Has anyone there adsl cut off by etisalat?
i had to go away for work and was aware that payment was due. Tried to use the machine at the airport and it was broke, tried to use their web site and this was broke (time out) tried to call there helpline and had to give in after ten minutes as i was calling international.
Parter calls me and they have disconnected us. I have sent them emails and got automated replys.
i am now back In dubai and typing this on ,my mobile.
what do i have to do to get back on. Are they going to levy a charge against me

Just spoke to some one and my payment did not reach them even though it was my account which was displayed on the screen and took my money, so my account is in fact in credit.
so now i have the hassle of going to deira to show them the reciept.

Yeah, they don't hang around like they do with the phone bills - no warning, just cut you off. I pay online and they reconnected me as soon as I paid.

I've had this happen a couple times as well, Forget to pay or am travelling, when it is disconnected I've just gone down and paid the bill and in under 10 mins internet was up and running again. On their website they do say there is a reconnect fee but I've never been dinged with it.

I am back on now.
We sussed out what went wrong - my three letter User name was entered incorrectly so it debited another account instead of mine.
I just paid some cash in and I am back on again - so 10 out of 10 Etisalat for a fast reconnection.
Lesson learned by me - always check the account number when paying by machine.
One other thing you folks may be help with - I need to go to one of there offices to show them the receipt to get a refund.
Where would the nearest Etisalat office be to Oud Metha / Lamcy Plaza?
