As a Scotsman I'd happily bash the English all day but I suspect what you are referring to is the UK, which is comprised of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland!
I’ll cover some of those off. We have had the best performing economy in the EU for the last 20 years (don't know where you get the America thing from), we have some world leading biotechnology due to us having more relaxed laws than many (first animal cloned - Dolly the Sheep - was in Edinburgh), London and Edinburgh are two of the most beautiful and visited cities in Europe, the SAS is the greatest special forces unit in the world, London has a good few of the world’s leading restaurants.
Other stuff. Our comedy is some of the finest in the world. Don’t humour me (pun intended) with some guff about syndicated American stuff that gets piped across the globe, show me writing as sharp and culturally sensitive as the likes of the Office, Pheonix Nights and Alan Partidge to name but a few in recent years. Humour is part of the entire culture in the UK, a night of pub banter is not the same in any other part of the globe I’ve visited.
And one thing we’re number 1 in is music. Both in diversity and a whole cultural interest in nurturing new bands. The list of bands and artists produced by the UK is astounding and we continue to produce fantastic music. Music remains one of the biggest UK exports to the world. Indeed, please name me one artist of note who has pushed the boundaries of music but not sold well in the UK (that’s not an excuse to list whatever pop star is famous in your country, we want global acts please).

The UK as a whole has contributed significantly to this world through science, culture and language. We have our own parliaments but not full control of the countries, most notably taxation and high-level budgeting are set in Westminister and without those you can't run country independently.
Even as a Scotsman who has a dig at England all the time, I believe the UK is better as a sum of its parts, independence for any of the home nations would be disastrous for all.
Yes, people going to the UK should fit in and that's not racist. The UK culture and economy has benefitted greatly from immigration over the years but it is now suffering for its open attitude by a minority of immigrants coming in, taking money from the state and demanding that the UK conform to their ways. The majority of immigrants will continue to be welcome though, as long as they interact and contribute. I think that's a very jaundiced view Jamal. We have imprisoned a handful of muslim clerics who openly preach hate i.e. speak at public rallies calling for other muslims to kill non-muslims. One mosque was raided for inciting terrorism and evidence was found to corroberate this.
You would be arrested for those crimes in the UAE and indeed most countries.
The BNP, whom I do not support in any way, have remained a legal party by only stating their stance against immigration and national solidarity, the "noteriety" of the BNP comes from their followers interpretation of this and the racist acts committed on their behalf. Several leaders of the BNP were also arrested following an undercover investigation which showed them organising hate crimes. The BNP has a following but is very much in the minority, certainly when compared to other European countries such as France and Germany.
