Hi!
To you veterans of the forums, I did search the forum but did not find the answer I am looking for.
I have come to Dubai for about a week now, I am under the Payroll of Company A but work for Company B. Therefore Company A is sort of like an agency and it handle all my arrangements, my salary, my ticket, my visa, accomodation, etc, etc.
The thing is before I came, I got the contract through the email, I printed it out, signed it and sent a scanned copy back. Question is, is the scanned contract valid or do I need a proper one. I have also read that the contract need to be lodged with the Labour Ministry for it to be legally enforceable, is this correct?
In conclusion, I want to have a contract that is legally binding and not something that is unenforceable. The agency have so far been ok, but it is not perfect. But, you never know.
Another thing is that, though I have a contract with Company A, but my sponsor is Company B and company B is the one that is applying for my employment visa and arranging for the medical. Is this normal?
Lastly, the agency name is IT People, have anyone heard of this company before?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Kenny

In conclusion, I want to have a contract that is legally binding and not something that is unenforceable. The agency have so far been ok, but it is not perfect. But, you never know. - Only one lodged with the ministry is binding. Has your passport been stamped. If not which visa are you on??
Another thing is that, though I have a contract with Company A, but my sponsor is Company B and company B is the one that is applying for my employment visa and arranging for the medical. Is this normal? - This is quite tricky. Since I do not know what arrangement A and B have with each other. But since B is applying for your visa, they are your sponsors and the contract with A is not valid, unless it mentions under special caluse in the labour contract. Kenny
