I'm looking for places to find the following kinds of products:
Recycled paper product toilet paper
Unscented shampoo, conditioner and body lotion
Unscented phosphate free laundry soap
Natural cosmetic brands like Urtekram, Weleda, Burt's Bees etc.
100% pure essential oils
Cotton grocery bags

It’s hard here to be eco friendly I remember the first time I brought cloth/reusable shopping bags to Spinnys. The guy bagging my groceries put them in the cloth bag as I asked and then put the cloth bag inside a plastic bag and handed it to me.
I just had to shake my head.

He he he
I've been bringing my cloth bags to the shops here and they give me a strange look. I'm not against loading the bags full of goods rather than filling them half full and using another bag. The guy was looking at me like I was crazy because I said it was okay to put dishwashing soap in with the other food. (Hey, it's all in its own plastic anyway!) They go a bit crazy with the plastic bags sometimes.
Because this is a temp. accomodation we are staying, there are cleaners coming twice a week. Those guys also think I am weird because I have a collection of newspapers, bottles and cans here. They keep trying to take it away to the garbage - thankfully I have been here each time to stop them. I'll post in the other thread about recycling, but I have more info on where to take recyclables.
I'm going to check out the eco shop today, and am already excited to see that they have Urtekram products. Let's just hope they aren't ridiculously expensive, although I was paying through the nose for them already in Finland.
