Dubai's Business Dress Code

dualcitizen I'm moving to Dubai from the USA next month and have been told that the dress code in the office is "business". Does this mean wool suits in Dubai? I'm trying to understand how you can wear a suit and tie and not pass out in the heat.
asc_26 Suits from Pierre Cardin and Ted Lapidus are just fine for office. It is common to see males wearing long-sleeves with tie and that's it. If you're working indoor and not going out (meetings outside office or client call), then full suit is ok too. Wool is uncomfortable for the weather here. Don't bring your winter suits here, leave it there. Have a safe trip to Dubai. -------- I've seen Engineers here working in construction wearing longsleeves with tie.   Mashaal precisely, Good Luck Sydneysider our office is casual-- long sleeves & chinos unless out w/clients you might want to bring a couple suits and have some tailored for you here-- relatively inexpensive (say $350 US) and you'll have a great fit! jabbajabba Suit jacket is handy for when it gets to cold from the AC running to high. I have gone outside just to warm up in some offices.
