Hi,
We are new to Dubai and looking for our first rental apartment. I would really appreciate some advice from anyone who has been through the process of finding a rental property recently. We like the Marina but obviously want to minimise our outlay and are happy to live in something smaller. I have been looking at and dubizzle trying to get a handle on prices for studios and 1 beds in Dubai Marina. There seems to be quite a large variance in prices as follows
Studios from 65k to 85k
1 bed from 85k to 120k
My queries are; Is this a fair representation of what they actually let for? and What is the difference between those on the high and low end of each type?
Many thanks in advance

Pretty much spot on with what they are going for.
Higher end expect either Marina / Ocean views: 600-700sqm ~ 100k, 800-1000sqm ~ 120k.
Lower end you'll get views of another apartment, or SZR, or another building getting built next door. From 65k - 100k depending on size and whether you have partial views of "attractive" surroundings.

Thanks for your speedy reply! Are their any buildings that are "bad" and should be avoided?

Marina Diamonds (1 and 2).
Also, if you're a light sleeper you might want to shy away from the Marina 2 (side closer towards JA) development area, as they do piling between 2am-4am.

Why do you want to stay in the Marina? There are some new apartment blocks being released soon that im sure will be up for rent.
Jumeirah Beach Residence project being one of them.
Some people have already started listing them on the classified site and have mentioned that they are being released in May.
Not sure if that is too late for you or not.

Where do you think JBR is being built?
Also 'some' of the JBR apartments will have good views (that you'll pay for) but majority are going to be facing each other.

Thanks for all your advice. We are thinking of buying now anyway. Rent is just to crazy for anything decent!! Will start researching purchasing instead.
