Dubai Labour Court

dubai_rookie Hello I would like to know if I have a case against my company. This is my situation... I was employed by a company in dubai while still on a holiday visa. This holiday visa expired before I was given residency by my company. So i had to come home to South Africa. I have been waiting for 6 months. Whenever I email them, they tell me to expect the visa in a few weeks. I think it is clear the visa will not be delivered. I signed a contract with a salary of 10,000.00DHS per month, so while I have been waiting, I have lost 60,000.00DHS. I would like to be compensated. So, do I have have a legal chance of seeing any payment at all? If so, how do I go about doing that?
K-Dog If it has been that long, chances are your not getting a visa. The work permit/visa takes 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately the contact you signed with the company doesn't have any legal wieght. The only contract that maters is the one you and your company sign with the labor department.
