Hello,
I am a single female, who will be working in Dubai Internet Centre. Could someone please advice where would be a good place to rent a flat.
I want something small, a studio or one bedroom (to save money for other things!). I have 6000 DHS per month but would prefer not to spend that, I can use my housing allowance for other things.
What is important to me is to be in a block of flats, with a gym and a pool that is very close to where I work. I know the traffic is a nightmare and I don't enjoy sitting in traffic!
Furnished would be the ideal but I know that is unlikely.
Any help is very much appreciated. I move in one months time.

the green is nice place .. yes it's near but size of the room are small .. even studio u will find by 40,000 AED and 1 room apartment average 60,000 AED

rent a room with separate bathroom = 2000
or
room with attached bathroom and walk-in closet = 3000
without furnitures .. u can buy very nice furnitures from ikea at a cheap prices

I'd agree, if you work at Internet City look at "The Greens" its just across the road.
When you get here or first arrive stay in a hotel or furnished appartment for the first 2 weeks - this may be a little pricy, but will save you a bundle ultimatley.
Have a look at the prices of places/ appartments that are being offered and where they are in realtion to your work. have a look at your transport options.... do you need transport, will you get it as part of your package etc... the greens is probably no more than 400 metres from internet city, but you cannot walk there as it is separated by a highway (no pedestran crossings). you would need a car or a lift.
... some of the above rentals are a bit high (considering you are sharing)....
settle in first and spy out the lie of the land before jumping into anything....
