I see that this question gets asks a lot in Dubai fora. But I've never seen confirmation that it is resolved. So, once again, if I have an ADSL wireless router (in my case Linksys Wiress-N ADSL2+ Gateway) is there a way to connect it to my Broadband service or do I need a totally different device?

Du's broadband is the same as Etisalat's broadband with one exception...its not very broad!
Du's high speed internet connection is as fast as a speeding slug!
All the connectivity should be the same.

But Etisalat is ADSL broadband. Du is broadband to the home, so the service is provided in a separate connection in the wall, not via the telephone line.

Even if it is cable or satellite provision, once the signal is in the home, the the wireless router is simply your LAN or VPN connection. I would contact Du and see if they require an interface linking box to make it work.

Yes, I tried that but unfortunately Du as a policy doesn't assist with wireless router: their way of trying to get you to by more connections! Du advises to contact the router provider, but given the level of technical expertise at the electronics places around here that is pretty much of a dead end.

Don't go to the electronics stores then. Contact one of the many networking companies here. Try and get one that deals with TECOM or Du connections.
