Is it just me or is it strange that there are 2 levels of "locked" on doors here. You know, how one turn of the key locks the door, and another turn in the same direction locks it again. Is it more secure this way or something? Just curious!

Double locked is more secure.

Yes double locking is more secure and prevents access using things like credit cards - ummmm i I just admit to that? Handy trick if you're ever locked out.
