Anyone know where to apply for a duplicate death certificate?
Ministry of Health, or any other department?
Thanks.

I guess it might work the same as a marriage certificate? I married in Egypt, lost the certificate and the British embassy here managed to get me a duplicate from Egypt. Guess it will depend on where the death occurred.

It occurred in Abu Dhabi in 1994.
I'm sure records are still there, but where is there is the hard part!

Was the death registered with an embassy at all? If so, they might be able to help you - and even if it wasn't, it might be worth giving them a call to find out what the procedure is. Egyptian bureacracy is 100 times worse than it is here, and they still managed to get my duplicate 10 years after we married.
Best of luck.

Thanks.
Will check with the embassy. :)
