Okay, so there's a trillion new towers being put up here right? Each one being developed by a large local construction company or JV. So I'm thinking what's the scope for an O&M manual here?
Obviously each building has large amounts of plant which have maintenance schedules to keep. There must be firms which operate and service these buildings, does anyone know if this is field worth persuing?[/b]

Not a bad idea.
There are a few companies that specialise in building maintenance as most of the developers prefer to outsource. Whether they have the discipline to follow a manual though is a matter of debate.
Nakheel and Emaar have also set up their own maintenance divisions as profit centres which feed off their own developments.
