I have a question regarding the comparision of Dubai and great Wall of China? Do you know what is common between both of them?
for me answer is
a) both are wonderfull and
b) both are built on the graves of their workers
what you say? considering a worker working more than 60 hours a week and getting 500 dhs a month:) sleeping in a 12x15 room with 15 other workers, sharing their own made tiolet and what not???

I don't think you can compare the two, to be honest. One is a marvel of engineering and construction, stunning to look at and has great historical significance, the other is just a shit-hole.

in my opinion, china's was justified- and since there is no other faster and safer way to build the wall during that time. In dubai's case however it is supposedly the modern times when peoples are supposedly already civilized and modern tools are already available, so forcing people to work in the way we see how now is just not right.
I agree with Pinoy1 to a certain extent, Here in dubai tall and beautiful buildings not only made for Income but also to fulfil the wish of changing desert into/ or near to some Westren Beautiful City :)
They are not spending any money for Layman. transporation of ordinary man, his acomodation and general facilities
