Yes, installed in the dumbest of places. It is law in Sharjah, but not in Dubai. And all new cars seem to have one.

Check next to the spare tire - it might have a clip around it which is a right bitch to undo in a panic situation.

Some 80's German cars came with fire extinguisher already equipped (Audi's, VW's, Porsche's etc).
Our 06 BMW did NOT have one, i purchased one.
Always make sure that they are inspected, the day you wish to use it (hope that day never comes), it may not work.
