So I thought, how did the other people on this forum get into their careers?? I'll tell you how I got into mine:
Completed a degree in accounting. Thought to myself "hmm, what can I do now?? Well, I'll get a job in accountancy until I decide". The rest is history!!
Come on guys and gals, let me know how you got into your careers, and also maybe give me some suggestions as to what I could do??

I know I enjoy business so I think I will divert my career after the PhD but right now iam fed up and if this thesis is not finish soon I will kill myself. I had enough of this now.

I was supposed to submit my thesis this Friday and I was so happy about it but it looks like, it will be extended until Monday, I really had enough and can’t take anymore. I kind of know how you feel. I majored in Psychology and finally in my last year I am like "ummmm this isn't for me" and am now looking more into marketing/PR/event planning. I wish I hadn't wasted my time doing something I never really loved. The important thing (which I never realized) is actually being determined to do something that you will be happy with for the rest of your life..even if that means you have to go out on a limb which may at the time seem unreasonable and stupid. In the end you will be happier. And I guess my Psychology experience is never really wasted, because it can be applied in so many areas. I think the same goes for all fields. So I won't say it was a waste.... :) valkyrie
