my boyfriend and i are hopefully moving out to dubai in the near future and we currently live together in the UK, will we be allowed to live together in dubai as this may be the deciding factor whether we come over or not.

officionally no you can't!
un-officionally every body does it!
as long as you are quiet, don't piss the neighbours off you shouldn't have a problem. cid will only act on a complaint! so, if you behave and don't give them a reason to come calling - then no problem!
just don't get pregant, as if you do, you have to provide a marrige certificate when u go to the hospital. if you don't have one...... you get jailed or deported (or both) for a moral crime!!!! scary!
this applies only to dubai! the other emirates are not as lax and are more orthodox, i.e. woman may not be out in public with another man unless he is a brother or a husband....
