I haven't seen such a hospital in my life, whose primary motto is to just make money. I would like to mention about an incident wherein I had to visit Prime Medical Center Sharjah (Near to Mega Mall).
I had a swollen foot (never knew before that it was due to gout... high URIC level on blood) and had approached an ORTHO at the Prime medical center who gave me unwanted tables (that too two bottles) even without really diagonising the issue. He said that I should take X-ray (had another 6 xrays in differnt postures) and also a blood test to check the cause. The ORTHO also prescribed me for an Auyurvedic medicine (Dh. 100) which i had to buy from a pharamacy outside prime medical center (later i came to know that this ortho prescribes to to all his patients - and i know this was his business to make money in commissiion...).
My concern was that how a doctor could prescribe medicines without knowing the cause... i was smart that i never consumed the medicines... and thank GOD i had the insurance to cover...
Such docs should be taken to task by the authorities and i wonder how they are surviving in such hospitals. !@#$@#$ SCARY
