The Public Prosecutor in Dubai, unhappy with the"lenient" sentence given to the British beach couple, is now appealing for a tougher sentence.
Isn't the 3-months jail sentence, and all the public humiliation they had to endure, good enough or they deserve more???
Here is the Gulf News link to the prosecution appeal for a stiffer punishment:

3 months, community service, plus fine would do it.

I think this couple will probably get a longer jail sentence, just to satisfy the outraged local hardliners, but then they may get pardoned by the Sheikh later on!!!!!
As a footnote : some local friends told me that they thought the earlier sentence was too "light" for such a flagrant transgression against the country, its people and its religious values. One said that they should make an example of this couple by giving them the harshest possible punishment under the Sharia law, including public flogging!!!
Public flogging...?? In Saudi, maybe.. ..but not likely in Dubai!!
Anyway,.. there you go....... :!: :!: :!:

I dunno, RTA seem to have been flogging a dead horse since they were set up!

Well the Gulf News article is inaccurate for a start. The medical tests that came back proved that they didn't actually have s.e.x, therefore the judge sentenced them for an indecent act and being drunk.
Vince never wanted to appeal in the first place! He just wanted to go and get his sentence over and done with and leave, but Michelle and the lawyers basically went ahead and appealed anyway.
I think they've suffered enough already.
