Can a company ban you if they were in the process of filing your application for a visa, but if it was never actually processed before you left the company? Ie, if you worked with them and handed over all the relevant documentation to process a visa with the intention of getting a visa but then quit before the visa was completed.
Thanks in advance!

"never actually processed" is different than "before the visa was completed" (means in the process of medical/immigration/etc). The first, may be not. The second, could be.
But then they're still holding your passport, aren't they?

i agree with the above, you have to find out excatly where your visa application is and how far its been processed (if at all) before any real advice can be given.

I'm in a simillar situation. I have been approved by the labour dept. however i'm still awaiting approval from immigration. Will the 6 month ban apply if i resign now?
