Anybody knows whether we could get channels from Astra satellite ? I know that we can get channels from Nilesat, Arabsat, and Hotbird, but what about Astra ? Thanks for sharing info.

Friend, I don't know if you can get ASTRA Channels there in Dubai.
I wonder if someone is using decoders and smart cards from Other Countries, like Sky, CANAL +, etc.

nusa you can get them but you will need a big dish and most of the channels are encrypted, some are in alien language and some aint suitable for lil children :D.
so answer is yes you can. you can even get Hotbird.

I know that you definitely can't get SKY in these parts, because a) the satellite that delivers these channels only reaches down as far as north africa, and b) they're not legally allowed to distribute it outside of the UK.

it is possible but you will need a BIG dish but then most of the channels will be blocked. And there is a way around it to get them free ;).
