The news story is eliciting strong reactions in the UK.
Dr Williams said the UK had to "face up to the fact" some citizens did not relate to the British legal system.
He said adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law could help social cohesion. For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court.
Interesting stuff.

Sharia Law in the UK is something I hope to never see, even if it is just for Muslim Brits. It should be one law for all, regardless of race, religion, gender otherwise it is only going to start to get extremely complicated with the amount of cultural and religious diversity that exists in the UK.
So I very much have the view of 'when in rome, do as the romans do'. When I worked in Kuwait during Ramadan I was not to happy to go without any food or water during the day and did not 'relate' to it, but I accepted it was the law of that country and respected that law, otherwise I should have to question why I decided on going there in the first place.
