Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a studio or 1-bedroom apartment/villa to rent in Abu Dhabi as near as possible to Jebel Ali (near Ibn Battuta) where I'm working. I understand there could be some residential towns nearby where the rent is cheaper and only 30mins drive away from Jebel Ali.
Although there may not be any schools, shopping malls or cinema etc. except for basic amenities in these towns, this is perfectly OK because I'd be living alone.
Any recommendation or advise would be appreciated.

Most of those towns (Al Rahba) you are thinking of were free housing projects given by the goverment to UAE nationals who didnt have housing. So i really doubt you will find any of them rented out. However i think you can find something in Al Shahama which is closer to Abu Dhabi than Dubai. Good luck !

Looks like there is very little way out of this rental trap we are in at the moment that is burning a hole in our pockets.
I heard that there are also some accomodations in Dubai Investment Park. Is that a good alternative?

If you're still looking and if you're interested in sharing then I have rooms available near Abu Dhabi Airport, about 35-40 minutes to Ibn Battuta. Furnished, serviced, wireless internet etc.
