I have booked a 1 BHK apartment for rent in Al-Ghusais next to zulekha hospital on the main road for 57,000 Dhs per annum. I paid booking amount of 1000 Dhs and 5% commission. Now my company transfered me to another location, so I am not going to take this apartment. If anybody want to take this apartment , please call me. I will give some discount on the amount i paid. hi Vinod,
I need a 1-BHK but i will be needing it from oct 15th or so. My budget is around 45-60K per annum max. Is Al-Ghusais and Gusais..one and same? I will be joining the dubai job from around 20-25th august though. i am coming with family(wife and very young kid) and I dont wish to buy a car. so i will have to look for my own transport..
My office is in Dubai Internet city.what are available modes of transport to go to office/home during odd hours (5-7am in the morning and after 7:30pm)? I am not in favour of buying a car with the traffic issues currently.
I am planning to look for a place closer to Dubai Internet city (around 4-5 km).
Please provide me some good leads for accomodation closer to office and any alternative transport means..

sss,
Dubai rents are very expensive now and for 45K to 60K you wont get a 1 BHK house near to Internet City. The area near to Internet city which you can look for is Al Barsha - but 1 BHK there will be 90K Dhs per year. 50K-60K range you get in Al Ghusais ( Ghusais, Qusais all same - pronouced as Gheeses), but that will be around 1 hour travel one side from internet city. Karama and Bur Dubai are good places for families but again costly in the range of 70K for 1 BKH and travel of 45 minutes. International city is coming up with 1 BHK rent of 45K to 50K , but it is an isolated place with no taxi, b us facilities and 45 minutes drive away. If you dont have a car, there are private buses available from different parts of dubai to drop you and pick you from Internet city. There are buses like Fancy ( ), belhasa bus rental etc. They charge 300 to 500 per month depends on the location of your stay.

Hi, I'm interested in this flat, but I'll be in Dubai from Sept 1st. I'll be working in DIC, i know about the traffic problem and my plan is to buy a car. Is there any other route to DIC from this area or i have to take Shiekh Zayed Road. I noticed another road called Emirates Road, it looks longer but is it better in traffic.

That flat is no more available with me.As I did not sign the contract within two weeks of booking, they have given to somebody else and I lost all money I paid. Buying a car is very easy here as some dealers are giving car without even down payment, 0 to 2 % interest and EMI starts only after 3 months etc. The real problem is getting a driving licence. If you are from one of those listed 36 countries, then you can convert your licence to a UAE licence. Otherwsie you have to attend at leat 20 driving classes and pass the test, which is very difficult now-a-days. The total process takes 2 to 3 months. Emirates road is parallel to Sheik zyed road and some people take that road to avoid Salik ( toll) , but there are lot of truck traffic there.
