Following a very entertaining piece in Fridays Gulf News, I wondered if any Forum members had run across any funny/ amusing company or place names (in or around Dubai).
Quiet obviously some of them are funny to English speakers, as I’m sure others would seem funny to members whose home language is not English.
I’m pretty certain though that this thread will eventually be moved to Fight Club, purely through the nature of some of the submissions.

I didn't have a chance to read the article in Gulf News you spoke of but I have a big pet peeve with all the Saloons on Beach Road. You’d figure someone who would spend 100,000’s on a Salon would make an effort to spell check the big neon sign they buy.

I once spotted a taylor with the name Bzazz .. Now that means boobs in Arabic (and it was spelled the exact way "بزاز" in Arabic) it cracked me up when i saw it. I have a picture of the sign somewhere i took it with my mobile, if i find it i will upload it.
