Lost me already... Dubai Knight Lets see if we can decipher this: Are air hostesses respected in this country? Yes. By bar owners who let them drink free to attract men to their bars. By local guys in Ferraris who like to have lots of them and ply them with presents in return for 'favours'. No. Not by the other less blonde girls in town. Not by the normal men who cannot afford the gifts. Not by the passengers who see them as airborne servants and treat them as such. :( :( :( Knight Purple Complex I'm surprised you managed to decipher that much Knight. Personally got stuck around the part about Tunisia. I'm still baffled why someone would write on a forum in regards to the status of air hostesses, especially considering the fact that they're mostly in the air and not in the country... well you know what I mean. KeithL Emirates and Ethiad were having a big recruitment drive a while ago. Qatar airlines too is looking for fresh faces All these are excellent palces to apply if you are keen on a job. You Tunisians have the advantage of speaking fluent french which is an asset in the airline industry sage & onion
Why should that be though?, surely the French should learn English  bonitta I am not in Dubai, but I think there is no reson for unrespect, cabin crew is a hard and dangerous work...everything depends on the way u treat urself , the way u behave urself and the reason why u want to join the air team..if u r coming to work and earn money every1 will respect u, if u want to find a rich guy-u will find him but noone will respect u.. regards docmido i want to know if they are respected... please help :?: :?: Purple Complex
But that's like saying "I want to know if people eat Tacos in Dubai."
Sure there are people that do, but don't expect it from everyone. bosichoclate
we had made ourselves a cruel and stupid world :o Popularity is only partially about individual attractiveness. It's much more about alliances. To become more popular, you need to be constantly doing things that bring you close to other popular people, and nothing brings people closer than a common enemy.

Respect has to be earnt. You don't HAVE to tell people what you do. It dfepends how they or anyone else behaves and puts themselves across. Many are yes, because they're nice girls, others are complete slappers, it's swings and round a bouts. ^ian^
I think this really is a case of reaping what you sow.
I have come to know a lot of trolley dollies during my time in Dubai, and I can definitely say there are some awesome ones who are really nice and down to earth people, and some complete loopy ones that would suck the last sud out of a soap sponge if it was to their benefit.
It's hard to lump them all together, because there are various shades of grey.
But yes, they do have a nasty reputation - which in a way is sad. As I said, I know quite a few that are awesome people, even some from the forum. panaghoy
why r u interested to know if they are respected?
r u an air hostess? is ur partner one? Purple Complex
I figured (he?) she probably wanted to apply to become one or something. docmido panaghoy wrote:

yes my partner!
I am very anxious because the rumors say that hostess = bitch ^ian^
All depends on what you mean by princess.... docmido princess=bit** Vita I agree with Bonitta. You can stay in any country and have any job (or not to have)...But it is depend on you how you present youself to others...how you live...what you believe... There is NOT a situations without exit. If you respect yourselve, you will never go to the bar for free drinks just to please some stranger rich men...You will never let anyone to treat you as bit**. This is the main point. No need to ask anyone to respect you (or your friend)...People will show you their respect if you treat yourself as respectful woman (girl)... jabbajabba If you are a musulman you should get respect :)
Vita
And if she is not a musulman???? No respect you mean? Bleakus ^^so when did jabbajabba say that? xibit
if what u are trying to ask is:
YES most of thE air hostesses here are part time prostitutes. Bleakus ^^wow, you wanna share a story alexandra
as long as u know how she really is why do u care about what ppl say???
some will talk crap no matter what....and i do think that a lot of the bad things/stories about flight attendants r linked with envy esp form other women as most of them r very pretty.
no matter what job u have u still have to fight stereotypes: "blonde---so she must be stupid. pretty----so she must be a bitch etc etc bla bla bla. panaghoy
respect is given to individual -- regardless of profession
dont get affected with rumors, u know ur partner better Mi Ange mi Demon Hey Doc ... I m cabin crew and I never had to deal with a lack of respect...respect is for the woman not the profession! if the woman behaves like a b* regardless of her profession she will be treated as a b*... end of the story dodgeek obviously doc is feeling a lil inferior rite now and worried that his babe is gonna go off with some dude who's gonna wine and dine her to bed.... my wife's a crew and she hold her own against advances from sleazy men. and i dun have a problem with that because in a relationship u need trust. without that....its pretty darn pointless
