I have a new job, and it's 3 year contract. The GM told me that if I quit my job before 3 years, I will have to pay. What will I pay for? Is it the labor card or visa? can you estimate how much?

I think its a month and half of your basic salary...
and you will be banned for sometime as well from working in the country (unless moving to/ from free zone).
If they fired you they pay you 3 months gross.
as an advice if the packages is not reasonable don't take it or negotiate for more.

Labour law has a clause that says the employer can claim up to 1 1/2 or 3 months salary (I forget which) as a penalty if contract is broken.
