scot1870 I notice the advertising on Fox has it as "the biggest teams in the world competing for the world title - India, Pakistan, Australia and the West Indes. Guess the forgot about diddy England :lol: kay1730 Well i would like Pakistan to win it but i dont see that hapening with all the injuries weve got. My second favourites are England but dont think they stand a chance, hope im wrong. I think the finals going to be between Australia and South Africa, and Australia probably take it once again. But its not going to be a walk through this time around, most of thier players are old now and theres a lot of great teams around with some young exciting talent. Cant wait KeithL I think that New Zealand will be a force to reckon with this World Cup..... although Bangladesh beat them in the warm up match :o St.Lucifer Its gonna b India all the way.. well thats what I wish for.. if not Pak or Srilanka. I think the ICC Trophy was a good indicator of form moving ahead.

It was a low scoring wicket, it didn't look like it was giving up much runs at all, and I thought the West Indies did a tremendous job to get to 241 (circa 300 on a decent pitch). Most of their batsmen got good starts.
Pakistan was never going to get there I thought. Galactico Bowling wise you can tell they missed Asif and Sheoib. I thought Umar Gul bowled well alongside Rao Ifithikar but they still lacked that extra bowler who could get a wicket out of nothing. Batting god knows what happend there silly shots why dont they learn to leave the ball :evil: HP Pakistani team is more concentrating on religion than Cricket . Inzi didnt take so many runs and he was not running fast between the wickets. Inzi and Yousaf were playing good but Muhammad Yousaf started loved up , at that stage WI were desperatly looking for wicket. He shuld have stayed . About the closest thing to it was Lance Cairns' 6 sixes off 10 balls in 83, however this was against quality bowling (Deniss Lilliee: best Australian bowler ever), at the MCG (one of the biggest cricket grounds in the world), and under huge pressure (see wicket count).

B. Even if Woolmer was murdered, what benefit would it give to Pakistan cricket team? They were shattered any way after loosing. Even a rock head would know that coach was not the cause of the defeat, it was the team itself. Dr.D

To be fair though, the West Indies enjoyed many years of dominance from the seventies to the eighties (70s - 80s for the rest of you) - they are still a side that can topple giants but they aren't a patch on their former self.
