Do you think, this will be enough to solve the traffic in Dubai? Or is it going to happen on September 9?

They should focus on the stations near residential areas and office blocks such as (in addition to those) Karama, Trade Centre or Dubai Mall, Internet/Media City, and Jebel Ali. There will not be many of passengers at Jafiliya (Zabeel Park) & Nakheel Harbour (JLT) at the moment.

Possibly the stations in between (those you mentioned) need to be opened to get from one end to the other???

Eh? No! Dubai Government - obviously! The powers that be once again put restrictions on what could be one of the busiest days for the general populus to use, not just commuters.

The Metro Project in itself is an incredible feat of Engineering and hard work. We should all give it some time to get operational before we pre-judge everything. I for one will use it wherever it is convenient, anything beats driving these days.

Well defo looknig forward to givingit a go. Certainly cheaper than using the car, then parking etc etc.

Hmm, the Friday timings are indeed weird. I dont see why the metro needs to start only after Friday prayers!?
However, I wont be using the metro that much anyway but its still a massive move by RTA and a big step for the city.
