Well I agree to family sections. Most children are actually ok, it's the ones where the parents don't care that bug me. e.g. on my flight to Brisbane a little girl was running up and down the aisle gabbing peoples stuff, messing about in their bags if they'd left their seat, trying to push the crew as they were serving hot drinks - they were not amused!

^^^ I was goint to post that in my experience the kiddies fall asleep right away and only wake up upon descent when theire ear drums start to hurt. But I have seen a few little brats running down the isle like the one you mention. Will be lying if I did not say that I've been tempted to stick my foot out

I can't and won't sit in economy on any flights that are over 4 hours. I remember sitting in economy and brats kicking the back of seats. I had one doing that and turned to the mother and gave her a look of annoyance, which completely went over her head because she smiled at me. Noooooooooooooooo, it is not cute!!! Then you have those kids sitting behind you and would pull on your seat as if it was a springboard; just lovely when you are sleeping or trying to sleep.

One thing I did notice is that when families travel (mom and/or dad and kiddies) and take the nanny along, the parent(s) sit up in business or first while the nanny and kiddies are back in economy. That tells you something!!!

I totally agree with you and I have 3. Children are vastly over rated.
