Hi, I don't suppose you know who the architect is? i know its SOM as design architect. Do they have a local firm working as executive architect.

I'm a uk architect job hunting in dubai at the moment and this would be great project to work on.

does anyone think it would be ok to do this type commute on a motorbike.
maybe not in the height of summer but it should be ok the rest of the year.

i ride 20 miles into london at the moment and takes 30 - 40 mins. is the road into dubai mainly highway? quite good condition?

thanks for the advice... i've got quite a high sense of self preservation.. so a comparison to dodge ball doesnt sound too good.

still quite fancy being a motorbike when i get to dubai, prehaps i'll just use it for lesure and a bit of off roading.

just out of curiousity, how do you find riding a motorbike in dubai.... i ride in london at the moment and i'm being widely advised against getting one in dubai.

i'd love to, but i thinking the timing is all wrong.. i've got 5 interviews next weekend in dubai.. so i reckon, if all goes well the earliest after that would be 6 weeks before i would be in dubai.. probably a bit more. and then the missus will be wanting me to find a house, car etc before a bike.....

can anybody help.. my wife and I have recently moved to dubai and are going through the whole house hunting hell.. we've found a nice villa in the springs and paid a deposit and agency fee to an agent 3 weeks ago and signed a contract . it then transpires that this agency is booking the house throug...

i'm desparatly missing my bike from the uk, and considering either a track bike or a mx bike to keep me happy..

must admit the roads do look a bit mad.

i've not really looked into the price of track days here. .. i assumed they'd be in line with uk prices.. so once a month would be do-able.

an mx bike would be great too.... oh, actually, maybe just a collection of bikes, although i tihnk i'd be divorced.

my wife would say second woman, without a doubt.

she hates (hated) my bike..

strangley she asked me this morning in the car, if i'd rather be on my bike riding to work or in the car with her..

told her i'd rather be on the bike, every day of the week.

i've only ben followed by the missus once on my bike.. and that was to drop it off when i sold it in the uk, just before i came here..

it was a very depressing slooooww ride. in hindsight i would have rather gone myself, had a blast and got a 50 quid cab home.

After my company have finally finished my visa, i can send back my cr@ppy corrolla hire car and buy a car... i've a couple of questions... im looking to buy a second hand car from a dealer (probs either a TT, boxster or 350z) what sort of discount should you i be asking against...

i was suggesting that the screen prices in the uk are marked up... so if you see a car with a screen price of 5000 gbp, you'll probs be able to get it for 4500 gbp...

I am curious if it is similar here..
