need advice!!!please help! Nov 07, 2006
Hey everyone. I was offered a work contract in Dubai for position of seller-consultant in a boutique of the H&M brand.
The basic salary is 4000 AED, which is about 1100 US Dollars.
Bonuses:
the first two months the company offers allocation, after that period I will have to find it by myself.
15% of salary every three months for achieving the target,
10% of salary annually for achieving the target
8 hrs work day, 6 days a week.
that's it.
if anyone has any kind of experience, I would be grateful to you rof some advices and tips.
Best wishes

Hey Iucra!!!

I think 4000AED is quite low knowing that you would have to take acco later on as rents are on the rise....But then again if you dont mind sharing a flat in the not so fashionable areas in the city then it might be ok as there are quite a few expats working on this salary...

Also you have to take in other considerations like travelling, mobile, food etc..

Also, are they offering you a yearly ticket to your home country, medical...

Ask them who is going to bear the visa charges.

Hey!thank you again. I see what you mean
You see I thought a lot about it....
I understand that 4000 AED is not too much....
I have read a lot of information about Dubai(about people living there, forums, even information about accomodation from gulfnews.com and other)
I am coming there with my fiancée. We will be working together at the same company...
I am thinking that sharing a flat 1B/R, or 2 B/R will be a solution. I hope at least.....
If you have some more tips to share, please don't hesitate to PM me.
best wishes.
