URGENT ADVISE NEEDEDCar Sale fraud in abu shagara Dec 16, 2013
Dear Members,
iam sure somebody might have been in this situation before.

i sold a car (Dubai Registration) to a person on abu shagara. it was a spot on sale. we made a sale agreement from a local used car showroom and he promised to transfer the registration to his name shortly.

this happened in 2012 and the said person is driving the car still registered in my name and has accumulated a fine of AED 3000.

to top it all, my current car registration is expired and i am not able to renew because of this. and this person is not transferring the registration nor paying the fines.

checked with dubai police, but advsie me to go to dubai courts and i am sure it is a very lengthy, costly and futile effort.

can anybody suggest any recourse for this problem.

If the car is registered on your name, can't you just take it and drive away? :)
It's technically your car.
