Supposedly I have a tourist visa to Dubai and a tourist visa to Qatar
Can I drive to Qatar? I mean can I pass the borders by car?

ummm to get to Qatar from the UAE you need to drive through Saudi, do you have a visa for Saudi? also if the original mrs. DF is with you, if she is a Mrs. in your heart only and not officially a ball and or chain this will be an issue as females can't travel through saudi without a blood relative or spouse.

here is a fun fact the Saudi stretch between the UAE and Qatar is actually originally part of Abu Dhabi:

In August 1974 the two sides signed in Jeddah an agreement stating that Riyadh will give up demands on al-Breimi oases, while on the other side, Abu Dhabi gave up Khour al-Adeed which includes a very oil rich and gas coastal area at a length of 25 km separating between the lands of Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

Why would one give up oil/gas than water? ;)

I believe it's a return fare, as one can fly to Europe or Asia for that price (1000-1500 AED one way).
