Hello,

i will spend my hollidays in Dubai in january and i´m looking for a Asus eeePc 1000H or similar.

Where i can buy computer and other electronic stuff in Dubai or in the UAE?

Computer St / Bank St (Khalid Bin Al Waleed Rd) in Bur Dubai
Al Ain Center on Mankhool Rd in Bur Dubai
Compume or Sharaf DG - The Dubai Mall and Times Square have the largest Sharaf shops, CompuMe is in Mall of the Emirates and there's a standalone shop in Garhood just after the Garhood Bridge.

Can you tell me how much are the eeePc´s are in Dubai?
A friend told me, that there are no tax to pay?

Here in Austria the 1000h costs about 400 Euro (~2100 AED).

From what I have just been reading, the cost of electronics in Dubai is more than in Europe or the US at the moment, despite the fact that we have no taxation.

I would buy online from the US if you can.

The easiest way is to try Carefourre for example. They have some good deals if you need something really quick.
