The hard disk on our server failed so we lost all our data.
The freshest backup of Dubai Forums was done on the 5th of September.
I'm apologizing for all lost messages.

Bummer .... does this mean my post count is down again? I made a ton of posts today.

That sucks. Well good thing its back up again. BTW, dont you think its time to upgrade the server ? seems like its not coping with the load too well.

yes even if you changed a password or something in your profile. IF its after september 5th its lost.

What the heck happened yesterday??? 2 of my customers lost all their data too, thanks to guess what? H-D Failure!!

Hopefully this will help people whos posts got deleted. It definately helped me with my missing (and kind of long) post!
IF you viewed your post, or maybe even previewed it before/after submitting etc, you should be able to recover it from your browser history (provided you keep any history).
Make sure your in offline mode, and go to History and search for your posts for thte past 1 or 2 or 3 days.
Then just copy/paste like I did in a new post!

Tried to get on last evening after several glasses of wine, and couldn't pull up the website at all, so there you go!
