Hello to ALL,

My name is Richard Owl Mirror and I am an American.
In all my writings, I not only point out problems of our everyday but,
propose solutions to these problems.
I joined Dubai Forums.com today because of the recent events regarding the proposed purchase of Port rights to 8 American ports by the Government of the UAE.

Among other topics, I would like to become more familar with the United Arab Emirate.
How it functions, what the citizens think and feel about the world around them, etc...
Perhaps with this new found knowledge I might be able to shed a bit more light among my fellow citizens in the United States.

First among my many questions is:
How did both Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan & Sheik Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum die?
Secondly, how do the citizens of the UAE regard those who have replaced these men in their Leadership roles?

Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid al-Maktoum, has died aged 62
The statement did not indicate the cause of death.

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, has died.
No cause of death was given

Is it privacy or a deep-seated mystery that these two men suddenly died?

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan was suffering from health problems from a very long time.

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan died from heart attack. It was sudden, but it happens sometime.

I suppose good leaders. Nothing has changed - people of different nationalities and religions are living in peace and prosperity here.

People who are living here may find these questions silly, but your curiosity is understandable. It's good that you asked questions.

It has become apparent that in order to maintain debate and conversation further,
I MUST convert to Islam :?:

It seems that I am found to be wrong-thinking in that I do not subscribe to Islam,
therefore nothing I say will be heard or even debated.

Good-bye and Good Luck to ALL !

Shk Zayed was ill for a very long time.

Shk Maktoum had a heart attack but it was known in many circles that he drank a bit too much. He was very rarely in the UAE and spent most of his time abroad.
