Speed vs Traffic

Hello everyone, I just read the gulf news paper today, as of 27th November, and i have a few things to say and i hope i get a lot of responses (good or bad) on this issue. Apparently everyone believes that speed kills, that is incorrect Apparently, people who do eventually speed down the roads, driv...

Insurance Brokers, or any kind of broker for that matter, always have their ways in and out of things.

I drive a 1986 car, i had one heck of a time just finding someone who would give me insurance in the first place....best deal i got was Dhs 880 for third party.......

Dyno shops

Anyone knows where one could find a GOOD dyno shop?

Not something stupid that gives flywheel power, but whp (wheel horse power), perferrably with a widband AFR readout.

So far, Al Naboodah has one, but without a wideband read out....

What about tuning?

Do you have wideband O2 sensors?

Do you have timing control?

Looks like we speak the same language..... I have an Innovative wideband installed in my car, i have a piggyback/fuel controller and dialed in a nice AFR. Thing is, i want to know how much i got there on the wheels...... Comparing two AFR charts would be nice (one installed on the car and one on the...

Again, very true....

We could be suffering from having too many retards here......LOL

Anyways, this point was covered in the first post, when people speed or exceed the limit of the cars that were not built for such abuse in the first place.

At the moment, i am looking for a power run, it is a 2wd dyno run as well.

But if their prices/per hour is good, then i would always use them when i start upgrading the turbocharger, intake, bigger injectors etc....

Then i get into timing....that is where i need the dyno run(s)

Cad drivers piss the heck out of me......... A small handfull of them are great, but the majority are just pathetic. They drive as if they are racing, don't care if they exceed the limit (even though the alarm goes on from the meter), squeeze in and out of traffic like their car is a Mini....... Sor...

LOL..... Yeah, i was tipped off by the Audi center since i was picking up a seal (interchangable parts between VW/Audi and Porsche). They don't have a clue what i wide band is....and say everything is 'at the owners risk'. When he saw the gauges in my car, he called me a ricer. I then informed him t...

You can find some small parts here and there in Sharjah, but we are talking about steering wheels, seats, sound system and so on. Be warned, once you change an engine component, such as turbocharger, super charger, fuel, and so on, you WILL blow the engine sooner or later. You must get a wideband O2...

Ask about service costs, that is the issue that a lot of people forget about. I will tell you this, i own a 1996 BMW 328iS, we purchased it from new in 1997. Now, in 2006, we clocked well over 212,000kms. We (my mother and i) have a FULL service history from AGMC Sharjah and Ras Al Khaima. The car d...

Right, fitting a fuel injection engine into another wouldn't work, the DME's/CPU's would not be compatable (in some cases), then come the sensors, wiring etc.......

My goodness, look at the pices you are talking about!! I paid Dhs140 for 50% all round, and 75% on the rear window (American tint). 2-years, and still looks new. All done from the inside of the car, NOT the outside, that's why some tints fade and turn white-ish later on. Come to Deira, come to Salah...

Since I've been here only for over 1/2 month and never experienced the summer in the Middle East, I am wondering what your experiences are... Model/type # of the car or muffler?

The car is a 1986 944 Turbo, sounds tricky, but very simple really.
