I am considering moving to Dubai and I read that many expat families join a beach club at one of the hotels. Can anyone tell me the approximate cost for a family of 4? Also, which clubs would they recommend? My children are 4 and 6.

Could someone please tell me about The Gardens? The package my husband was offered included housing there which seemed nice but when I look on a detailed map it looks like it is by a lot of industrial areas. It's hard to tell on the internet. HELP!

I'm trying to picture the area around media city and the dubai marina and the map says Falcon Chemicals is in that area. Is that just a corporate building or an actual chemical plant? What does it look like?

I don't know what the word is for the pictures next to your name when you post a message. Although I surf the net like crazy I've never gone into chat rooms until now since I need info on my move. My inlaws are giving us their Ford Explorer to take to Dubai. Do we have to title it in our name here and pay 5% excise tax to the US just to take it to Dubai and another 5% when we get to Dubai for import fee or can the paperwork be signed over to us somehow and not titled until it gets to Dubai?
