I would be looking to do something fairly undemanding while I consider a career change. My husband will obviously be earning the bulk of our income. My background is in sales and training. Hi, I am following my husband to Dubai in a couple of months. I read somewhere that I need to make sure I have my passport and licence in my married name or could have visa (and other legal/administrative) hassles. Is this important? I don't want to go to the trouble unless it is important. thanks

also be aware that you may not get non resident status for tax purposes from the Aust government as you will only be here for 9 months. Have a look on the ATO website so you understand the tax implications. Would be horrible to get stuck with a huge tax bill!
